New business and development
Viridian has a Development Strategy which identifies that over the next 3 years, between 2010-2013, the association will grow its property portfolio in general needs housing, supported housing and retirement housing by over 4000 new homes. Delivery of these ambitious growth plans will be achieved through a variety of activities including the development and purchase of over 660 new homes. New development remains a significant part of our business and is vital to delivering our mission "Quality Homes: For you to make the most of your life".
The aim of the new Development Strategy is to provide the framework to build and acquire new homes that enable our customers to make the most of their lives. The provision of a new home within a thriving, sustainable community is a basic building block that gives people the opportunity to really fulfil their aspirations and ambitions.
The Development Strategy also identifies which geographical areas will be strategic priorities for our growth. We have chosen to concentrate on boroughs where we can make a difference and provide an excellent local service.
