Our directors

Matthew joined Viridian (previously known as Servite) as Chief Executive in October 2004. He was previously Chief Executive at Riverhaven, created from a merger of Harding Housing Association and Battersea Churches & Chelsea Housing Trust.

Matthew has extensive commercial experience, having spent five years in investment banking with Kleinwort, Benson and then having worked for seven years in commercial real estate development in the United States.

Heather Thomas - Operations Director

Matt Campion - Care & Support Director

Matt was appointed appointed Care & Support Director on 24 January 2011, previously Matt held the role of Supported Housing Director.

Matt joined Viridian in April 2005 through the association's merger with Riverhaven. He had worked as the director for care and support and previously as a Supported housing manager for Riverhaven.

Matt has also worked for a specialist BME housing association, large RSLs and local authorities and is currently the chair of the SHIP (Supported Housing in Partnership) group. Before working in housing Matt worked as a lecturer in psychology.

Tim Coppard - Finance Director

Tim joined Viridian in August 2008 as our permanent finance director. For the past few years he was working at Hyde Housing Group, where he was the Acting Group Finance Director.

Before Hyde, Tim has worked for both private and public sector organisations.

Nick Apetroaie - Property Director

Nick was appointed appointed Property Director on 24 January 2011, previously Nick held the role of Care Director.

With a background in social work and psychology, Nick joined Viridian Housing in November 2008. With over 15 years experience in the care sector, Nick has successfully managed several care homes for people with learning disabilities and older people. Prior to joining Viridian he was the area manager for a national voluntary organisation overseeing the management of 11 care and nursing homes in London and the South-East.

Dean Epton - Deputy Chief Executive

Dean was appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Viridian Housing on 24 January 2011.

Dean joined us in August 2010 as Interim managing director of Viridian Facilities Management.

Before joining Viridian, Dean had over 20 years experience in the property build and management industry as a contractor and ten years experience in the marketing industry.

Dean has also managed outsourcing in Europe and Asia as well as across a wide range of industry sectors in the UK including the social housing sector.
