Housing association, Viridian is hosting a home swapping event on Friday 17 May for residents in South East London. Viridian will provide residents living in over occupied or under occupied properties with advice on how they can get moving to avoid the bedroom tax, and find more suitable accommodation.

We have published a complete list of all affected products and this includes fridges and tumble dryers, which could pose a potential fire risk, and cookers, which could pose a potential carbon monoxide risk.

Viridian hosted a one-day home swapping event last week for residents living in Croydon. Residents who will be affected by the Governments Bedroom Tax were encouraged to attend the drop-in event to understand the impact of the Welfare Reform changes. Viridian Letting Officers gave residents living in over occupied or under occupied properties advice on how they can avoid the Bedroom Tax, and find more suitable accommodation.
