On the road to Olympic success

Viridian Housing resident and world class long jumper, Ezekiel Ewulo, is one step closer to reaching his dream of competing at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

As part of their increasing focus on going the extra mile for their residents, Viridian offered sponsorship to Ezekiel early last year, which has helped him to get other sponsorship opportunities, accommodation and training equipment.

Now also sponsored by Adidas, Ezekiel has been busy preparing for the 2012 track and field summer competition from his new residence in Birmingham.

“Viridian’s sponsorship has provided accommodation at my London and Birmingham high performance training centres. It means a great deal to me to be able to achieve my dreams and I’m grateful things are moving forward,” said Ezekiel.

“I'm excited that I'm going into the season under the watchful eye of my new coach Aston Moore, and the prospects of making the Olympic team or going to the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012.”

Head of Commercial Operations, Andrew Grant, said helping Ezekiel was a great example of the impact Viridian has on residents.

“We have developed a culture of building relationships with our residents, and we strive to deliver a positive impact on their lives,” said Andrew.

“As Ezekiel continues to pursue his dreams, we are working behind the scenes with other residents to help change their lives. It’s great to see one of our residents excel, and it shows that we are committed to being more than just a landlord.“

Viridian is thrilled to be following his journey as he attempts to qualify for the world indoor championships in Istanbul in early this year.
