The Manor House is a purpose-built residential care home providing an excellent standard of care for older people in need of long term care. The Manor House has 35 individual bed-sitting rooms all with en-suite. The home is wheelchair accessible in all areas.

Facilities
- Welcoming and supportive -

The Manor House is a modern home on two floors, with lift access to the first floor. Each resident has their own bed-sitting room with en suite. There is a kitchenette in each flat with a fridge to make drinks or snacks at any time. Residents are encouraged to make their rooms as personal and comfortable as possible with their own belongings.

We have a large communal lounge and dining area. This provides a comfortable space for resident to relax with family and friends and for the many social events which take place throughout the year. These events also help residents to get to know each other.

The Manor House has a beautiful sheltered rear garden, which can be enjoyed on sunny afternoons and can be viewed from the large and spacious conservatory for those who prefer to remain indoors.

The home is designed to meet the needs of people who require assistance with their daily needs.

Our friendly support staff team include a registered manager, assistant manager, senior carers, care staff, handyman, laundry assistant and administrator help to provide a 24 hour care service.

Services we provide range from washing and dressing to arranging activities, to booking appointments. The home also has a choice of bathing facilities for those residents who require assistance.

An allocated key worker works with individual residents and they form a relationship to ensure all residents get the care and attention they require.

We know that food is important to our residents and we take great care to find out what each person likes. Our catering team provide three balanced meals daily and will cater for special diets and cultural needs. Residents may choose to dine in their own flats or with others in the communal dining area. A choice of hot and cold drinks are offered at intervals throughout the day and at any time upon request.

We provide a laundry service to all residents. Dry cleaning is not provided, but residents may make their own arrangements if they so wish.

Religious and spiritual needs services are held regularly in the home, and we will try to arrange to meet all individual spiritual needs. Our employees respect the religious and cultural customs of residents and customers.

The home provides a coin operated telephone. A phone socket is also provided in room for those residents who wish to have their own telephone installed as a private arrangement.

Each flat has a fitted, lockable cupboard for valuables. However, residents are advised not to keep large amounts of money or valuables in their bed-sits and to obtain insurance cover for their personal belongings.

Residents who wish to have their own television set can take advantage of a special concessionary licence fee.

Activities
- Things to do, places to go -
We have a full activity programme with bingo twice weekly on Monday and Thursday evenings, Domino’s are played on Tuesday night, and video and film nights are held over the weekends.

We have daily activities such as flower arranging, board games, play your cards right, craft sessions, manicure mornings, knitting classes, and discussion sessions regarding news and old past times.

Residents are also encouraged to keep up with their own hobbies and interests.

Local area
- Getting around -
We are close to Kingstanding Circle were all the local buses stop. Buses 451, 993, 33, take you to Birmingham City Centre, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, and the local shopping areas. The train station in Sutton Coldfield which can take you into Birmingham City Centre stopping at local shopping areas on the way. In the opposite direction you can go as far as Lichfield Town Centre.
