Contact your local council
If you would like to lead a greener lifestyle but dont know where to start, your local council should be able to help you out. Most councils will provide you with recycling facilities, with collections from either private or communal bins.
Ask your council about:
- Food waste services so your food scraps can be turned into compost or fertiliser
- Composting bins
- Water butt bins to collect your rainwater
- Charity shops where you can take unwanted clothes.
Volunteering
If you are interested in joining our green team as an estate champion, please email the green team or call them on 0160 474 5136.
