Making a Difference awards
The Making a Difference awards were held in January this year and was our very first resident awards ceremony. The day was a great success and gave us the opportunity to recognise the achievements of groups and individuals in our communities.
A special luncheon was held where we presented the awards. It offered a way for our residents to come together and celebrate each other and the work they do.
Nearly 100 residents and guests came out to the Grange Hotel in Holborn to celebrate all the great work our residents do in the communities they live in. We had speeches from our Executive Team, our Board chair Hattie Llewelyn-Davies, as well as some great comments from both our older and younger residents, including the Church Manor Football team.
Winners included National Residents’ Forum Chair Shaun Lansfield who was awarded Outstanding Contribution to Viridian award, for his long standing commitment to the organisation. Another winner, Resident Auditor Doreen Hill, was awarded the Making a Difference, for her work in the Retirement Housing schemes, and an inspiring resident from Shanti was awarded the Resident of the Year award.
The day was full of laughter and happiness and we are all excited for next year’s event.
