While we are not currently recruiting new members pending the outcome of the partnership with AmicusHorizon, if you would like to become involved in any capacity in the future or would simply like to find out more then please contact resident.involvement@viridianhousing.org.uk

Roles within resident scrutiny

Operating Board

Our resident Operating Board members attend monthly meetings with senior managers from across the organisation to influence decisions being made; they address issues that are impacting on the quality of the services we deliver.

This is a paid role at the London Living Wage, currently £9.40 per hour.

A total time commitment of approximately one day per month is required.

Resident Scrutiny Board (RSB)

The Resident Scrutiny Board (RSB) sets Viridian’s audit and inspection programme of service areas based on a full and transparent range of management information provided to them. The RSB ensures action is taken to improve services by monitoring the implementation of suggested recommendations.

This is a voluntary role.

A total time commitment of approximately 12 days per year is required.

Resident Auditors

Resident Auditors work in groups to carry out the audit and inspection programme of service areas as laid down by the RSB. They interview and shadow colleagues and carry out site visits as required. Working with the RSB, they produce reports to be presented to the Operating Board that identify strengths and where improvement is needed. They also make recommendations.

This is a paid role at the London Living Wage, currently £9.40 per hour.

A total time commitment of approximately 12-15 days per year is required.

Resident Service Inspectors (RSIs)

Resident Service Inspectors (RSIs) test and inspect Viridian’s services by carrying out quality checks and mystery shopping; this is often in support of the audit and inspection programme as laid down by the RSB. Through these processes, RSIs can highlight areas of good practice for Viridian to learn from and also identify areas where improvement is needed.

This is a voluntary role.

Time commitment can vary up to a maximum of approximately 12 days per year.

Review Panel (RP)

The Review Panel reviews decisions made by Viridian on a range of issues, when the relevant policy allows for it, and, in particular, the outcome of complaints when customers are not satisfied with decisions made.

This is a voluntary role.

A total time commitment of approximately 4 days per year is required.
